Perform Umrah
Umrah is a significant Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, performed by Muslims as a gesture of devotion and spiritual purification. Unlike Hajj, which has specific dates, Umrah can be undertaken at any time of the year. The pilgrimage involves a series of rites that include:
1. **Ihram:** Pilgrims enter a state of spiritual purity and don traditional white garments.
2. **Tawaf:** Circling the Kaaba in Mecca seven times in a counterclockwise direction.
3. **Sa’i:** Walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah, commemorating Hagar’s search for water for her son Ishmael.
4. **Shaving/Cutting Hair:** Men shave their heads or trim their hair, while women cut a small portion of their hair.
The pilgrimage symbolizes submission to Allah and reflects themes of humility and unity. Completing Umrah grants spiritual rewards and is highly esteemed in Islam, though it is not obligatory like Hajj. Pilgrims often visit the holy sites in Mecca, Medina, and other sacred locations as part of their spiritual journey.
